Embers can ignite debris under roof capping

Even when corrugations are turned up, over many years wind can blow leaves, bark and fine debris under the roof capping. This dry, fibrous material builds up unnoticed. During a bushfire it only takes a few embers to start a hidden fire in your roof space.

• Seal the gutter end of the roof
• Maintain roof integrity — check for lifted sheets or cracked tiles
• Engage qualified contractors for roof sealing and maintenance
